The new Chief Executive of the Gaming Commission (UKGC) will be appointed under a fixed-term contract of 18 months.
In a recently published job posting, the UKGC revealed it would prefer someone to join immediately, but would be flexible for the right candidate until August 2021.
The job description stated that the successful candidate would be required to work from his Birmingham headquarters and would receive a salary of up to £150,000 a year.
“You will be joining us at an important time as we strive to transform our own organization while continuing to drive improvements in consumer protection across the board,” the announcement reads.
The UKGC highlighted the forthcoming revision of the Gambling Act 2005 and the fourth national lottery license tender as key areas in which the new CEO should get involved immediately.
“You will need to use all of your experience and relationship building ability to be immediately effective, providing consistent and inspiring leadership to our own people while building strong relationships with our DCMS, Whitehall and industry stakeholders for maximum support and collaboration. . ", - explained in the UKCC.
The ad warns that it is a "highly visible, highly researched role".
The application deadline is May 9 and interviews will close by the end of April.
Meanwhile, the business was managed by UKGC Deputy CEO Sarah Gardner and COO Sally Jones.
Along with recruiting a new CEO, UKGC is looking for a new chairman to replace the outgoing Bill Moyes, who is due to step down this year.
In a job posting for a role he sees EGR , the experience of leading the organization during the "due diligence" is highlighted as a key priority for any new assignment.
The final interviews for the chair will begin on June 21. The successful candidate will receive up to £55,000 per year.
