After the "big six" Premier League withdrew from the highly controversial European Super League, bookmaker paddy power celebrated the "real heroes" of the triumph by highlighting some of the best protest banners in a new joking video campaign.
The short clip shows fans calling the Paddy Power Football Banners hotline and requesting materials to rebel against the breakaway tournament.
"I need a banner to protest this European Super League and I need it now!" one of the callers exclaimed, and then the image of the flag flying over Elland Road flashed on during Leeds United clash " With " Liverpool" .
“Of course, sir,” the hotline operator replied. “We could make you a banner with a thousand-pound plane or scribble something on a card like you’re a budget hotel meeting someone in the airport arrivals hall.”
Another hotline worker appeared to be talking to a supporter who requested a makeshift banner, to which the worker replied, "Traditionally we used white sheets, but we can definitely work with brown sheets."
One supporter asked for a protest sign to be placed on a "pizza carton" while another caller asked for a banner calling for the owner to be fired " Arsenal Stan Kroenke.
