Camelot Praises National Lottery Good Causes in Video Campaign

Operator national lottery UK Camelot celebrated funding for the Good Causes National Lottery in a new national advertising campaign, demonstrating the positive impact of this initiative.

voiced Dermot O'Leary , the new initiative highlights many of the projects of the National Good Deeds Lottery and demonstrates the link between ticket-buying players and £30m a week going to good causes.

“With our latest National Lottery promotional campaign, we are demonstrating the tremendous power players have just by buying a ticket,” he explained. Keith Moore , director of marketing for Camelot. “Together, by the millions, they are transforming the UK for the better by helping to raise around £30 million every week for Good Causes National Lottery projects across the UK.

“The fact that this particular ad player sees these projects firsthand and transforms himself in the process symbolizes that fun things happen when people play the National Lottery for a bit—and the transformative effect of that funding.

“But the wider campaign goes beyond that. This marks the start of our 'summer of fun' that reflects the mood of the nation as lockdown restrictions continue to ease, celebrating all the fun things players are supporting."

The campaign first aired on 1 May in a 60-second spot during Game of Talents on ITV, and with additional prime time ad slots throughout the week. The TV ad was created adam & eveDDB , media planning and purchase was managed by Vizeum, which aired on TV, radio, digital and outdoor advertising.

Lottery players will get a first-hand look at National Lottery-funded projects throughout the summer, including National Lottery Open Week and Movie Weekend, where players can get a couple of free movie tickets and special offers or free admission to hundreds of UK lottery-funded attractions .

The campaign will also include the use of social media to provide insights into the funding of the National Good Deeds Lottery by highlighting the stories behind individual projects.
