What do they say?

Based on his analysis of the newly introduced betting rules in New York, Goker remarked, “The only thing they could do worse was introduce a monopoly system. At least we won't get it, but Adam and I got this opinion from other people - it's mixed legislation, it was mixed up at the last second, and the result is a mess of politics. This is beyond doubt."

He added: "We're hoping the Interstate Gambling Commission can figure this out - it might not be as bad as we fear right now, but it's not good at all."

Moving from state regulations to discussing a partnership between the PGA Tour and the DraftKings, Gouker said, “This is a deal that has manifested itself in a way that is impossible to predict. We've seen the PGA Tour engage in lobbying, but we didn't know a year ago that the PGA Tour would be lobbying for actual sports betting licenses or venues.

“That's the exciting part - in more and more states we're seeing leagues, teams and venues shrinking or lobbying to get this opportunity to be licensed. In Texas, they were very involved.”
