There has been M&A interest over the years, especially since we were a strong asset in the US.
“Even before it was clear that the US market was about to open up, there was certainly some M&A interest. But it has certainly accelerated and intensified as the end of PASPA approaches. We started talking to some organizations - and, of course, we made an agreement with the guys from Scientific Games, and this was the most synergistic coincidence.
“It was all very exciting in the sense that you spend all these years working on something and building assets. Then you come to the realization that the asset you created has not only a heritage in the sports betting industry, but also has value for a large public company like Scientific Games, which was really nice not only for me, but for everyone in our organizations. . »
