The father-son duo launched a player protection integration tool to support operators' efforts to prevent gambling-related harm.
David Bradford and his son Adam have released the BetProtect mobile web application, developed by the consulting company Crucial Compliance, which provides a business intelligence system that allows operators to display and measure consumer behavior and tailor responses accordingly.
BetProtect allows the collection of anonymous data, which ensures the optimization of the product for consumer benefits, and also allows users to track their BetProtect activity.
The main message of BetProtect is to take a break for the players, think about their behavior and communicate with non-gaming platforms.
The product acts as a live integration tool for the web and mobile devices and provides localized content for international territories including the UK, US and Europe.
Adam Bradford said: “BetProtect is an opportunity for the industry to go the extra mile to provide additional security messages and a safe space for people to take time out at any point along the way to a customer in an accessible way.
“We know that there is no single silver bullet for completely minimizing the harms associated with gambling, but in the set of tools and offerings that the industry presents to its users, we see this software as an effective part of this portfolio,” he added.
The concept behind BetProtect was partly based on Bradford's life experience when David was jailed for fraud after hiding a debt from his family stemming from his gambling addiction.
David Bradford said: “At the peak of my gambling, there was no other support tool, and the consolation was always to play more and more.
“BetProtect is now available to pause for thought on the go and in addition invite you to explore the products inside to be my best friend without judgment.
“Until now, in the darkest moments of my life, nothing was available,” he added.
