The Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA) welcomed LeoVegas as their newest member.
Since the operator was founded in 2012, he will be the youngest member of NOGA.
The adoption of LeoVegas is another step forward in achieving the trade organization's long-term goal of representing the majority of online gambling providers in the legal Dutch market.
NOGA believes that operators need to join forces to deal with industry winds, for example, to ensure a high level of consumer protection.
Responsible gaming and creating a level playing field for all market operators are also top priorities for NOGA.
Pieter-Paul de Goey, Managing Director of NOGA, said: “Like other members of NOGA, LeoVegas takes consumer protection and responsible gaming extremely seriously and is leading initiatives such as LeoCare.
“We look forward to working closely with them for the benefit of the Dutch gambling market,” he added.
Daniel Valiollahi, director of public relations for LeoVegas, is looking forward to the introduction of local licenses in the Dutch market, which will promote fairer competition from October 1, when the market goes live.
In March, NOGA released the annual NOGA Online Gambling Barometer in partnership with research firm Ipsos.
The Barometer is a multi-year study of the Dutch gambling market based on data.
Sewerage and responsible gambling were among the key topics covered in the report.
