What do they say?
Schorr explained: “When I look at sports betting today, I really want to take a step back and look at iGaming in general. My experience in interactive games started in 1999 when I had the opportunity to work with Steve Wynn and form a company with him and we created a platform, an online casino platform. Needless to say, it was a bit ahead of the curve at the time, mostly in terms of regulation, so we had to put this project on hold.
“For the past 20 years, I've been waiting for the time when North America, and in particular the United States, will catch up with our counterparts in Europe and start offering iGaming. Clearly this started in New Jersey years ago, but from a national perspective, over the past two years and with the repeal of PASPA, I see a path to iGaming through sports betting.”
He continued: “Sports betting, in itself innovative, is very exciting. I think specifically in terms of media, sports and entertainment, as a business and as a casino operator, I am certainly more attracted to iGaming margins, but sports betting is not only a way to achieve this, it is an interesting and exciting experience. . build loyalty and interest.”
