Too Tall Sports Podcast welcomes the CEO fanalyze, to discuss how the sports data app is revolutionizing the way fantasy players, sports bettors and fans get real-time information and cementing itself as a " Google sports data and betting information.
Who is this?
Brett Laurin , host of Too Tall Sports podcast
Juan Juan , CEO of Fanalyze
What do they say?
Explaining the concept of Fanalyze, Juan began, “My co-founder and I have been playing fantasy football together for over 15 years and we were usually the big winners, but I asked how you do your analysis and research? So, Chris Longboy , who is my co-founder, showed me a spreadsheet with macros, statistics, estimates, and calculations, and I thought, "This is crazy." I told him: "That's what I'm looking for - ratings, forecasts and news."
"We said, 'Let's try to put this together with the software and collect this information in one place to save users time.' Our goal was to save users time and get the valuable data they need. That's how Fanalyze came about, making this software."
He added: "He's an engineer, so he does all the data, backend, and APIs, while I do more design, so I do more visual and business stuff. It's a good balance for both of us.
“When you're looking for data and research, you have to browse multiple sites and apps to get that content. We are trying to bring it all together to get the best, I would say, consolidated data. Instead of 10 websites, you just go to one and go to Fanaylze.
“We wanted to add charts because people look at trends on a weekly basis and sometimes you have to go against the grain. We did user testing and asked before launch, “What does our product look like?” And asked to leave a review. They actually liked the graphs because they could understand the data faster than looking at every data point, so they understand "this player is cool, so let's stick with it" or "this player is wrong, let's drop it".
Why should I watch this?
To gain insight into the product and how the fantasy sports, sports betting and sports technology industries are intertwined.
