Weekend review: Schick continues great form to get rid of much-beloved Dutchman

The European Championship once again dominated the headlines of sports and betting news over the weekend as the tournament's playoffs kicked off.

Undoubtedly, the outstanding result saw the Czech Republic eliminate the Netherlands and subsequently open their side to a draw, reducing either England's or Germany's chances of reaching the final.

Czech talisman Patrick Schick also moved within striking distance to land on the unlikely tournament golden boot, scoring his fourth tournament goal in his surprise win.

He came close to one goal from Cristiano Ronaldo, who remains the clear favorite for the crown despite Portugal being eliminated by Belgium on Sunday night.

Despite Portugal being eliminated, Ronaldo is currently around 5/4, followed by Lukaku at 7/2 and Schick at 5/1. Elsewhere on the list, Karim Benzema remains at 10/1 and after only two goals against England, Raheem Sterling is valued at about twice the patriotic pick.

In a clash of racing titans, Will Buick defeated Frankie Dettori in the Irish derby at Carragh when Hurricane Lane defeated the Lone Eagle.

In this thrilling event, Hurricane Lane produced an electrifying finale as market leader Aidan O'Brian High Definition stayed at a distance.

After a tough opener to the series, the Milwaukee Bucks moved into the clear favorite in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks as Giannis Antetokounmpo produced two cardinal performances.

The Bucks remain narrow favorites for the overall championship ahead of the Phoenix Suns, who have extended their lead over Kawi Leonard's LA Clippers to 3-1 as they close to a likely final with the Bucks.
